IF Nigeria
To promote cultural diversity and dialogue between people, France initiated, over a century ago the creation of a vast network of establishments throughout the world : the French cultural network.
First established in 1999 under the name “Centre Culturel Français du Nigeria”, the current “Institut Français du Nigeria”, changed name in 2011, and is located at the heart of the vibrant Wuse 2 neighborhood in Abuja.

The IFN, an official service of the French Embassy in Nigeria, is one of the 98 Institut Français spread around the world, and propose French classes and exams as well as artistic and cultural activities.
As a cultural hub, The annual program features a wide variety of events, including concerts, exhibitions, film screenings, literary encounters, debates and symposia. In addition to the French and Francophone creation, which is an integral part of our programming, we pay particular attention to proposing an offer in line with the expectations of the Nigerian public.

Our mission is to strengthen the relationship between Nigeria and France, while supporting the creatives through a wide range of programs and opportunities.
We aim at offering a safe space where our public feel free to meet, foster debates and projects exchanges, share creation process and ideas, while discovering french and francophone culture.
