2023 Editorial

All the team of the Institut Français of Nigeria wishes you an excellent year 2023, full of great energy and beautiful inspirations! The beginning of the year is usually a good time to announce a new momentum.

For us, it will be above all an opportunity to unveil the new signature of the Institut Français global network: freedom, diversity and creativity. It is with these three values in mind that we have designed our new programming. In 2023 we will continue to support the free movement of artists, ideas and knowledge, and to promote the diversity of modes of expression, languages and creations.

What are the important dates to note on your agenda this month? The screening of the film Fahim (January 10th) begins our cycle of movie nights that will now be offered twice a month. Don’t miss this very moving biopic about French-Bangladeshi chess player Fahim Mohammad. The other key date in January is the inauguration of our new café on Thursday, January 19th: the Mambaah Bistro. If the name sounds familiar, it’s probably because you’ve already had the pleasure of discovering their fusion cuisine at Maitama.

We are delighted to announce our partnership with the Mambaah Café and we look forward to the events they will offer you within our institute. Finally, January is of course the first session for French language classes: do not hesitate to consult our new course schedule to select the group and time that suit you.
