Ideally, to participate in either the adult online or physical classes, the person must be at least 18 years. If the candidate is younger than 18 years, it will depend on whether they have finished secondary school or not. If they haven’t, they will have to take the teenagers’ class pending the time.
You need to take our placement test; contact us to make bookings.
A session of physical classes lasts for a period of 6 weeks, while the online class lasts for a period of 8 weeks.
At the IFN, we offer all 6 levels of French classes depending on the demand.
The fees for a session cost between 17,500 NGN and 44,000 NGN depending on the course selected.
The material which includes the book, workbook and CD costs 10,900 NGN per level.
For the physical classes, they will hold at the Institute’s site at 52, Libreville Crescent, Wuse 2. The online classes take place on Zoom or another audio-video medium.
The only means of payment is by card or bank transfers as cash will not be collected.
Transfers are made possible by stating the name of the student and the reason for the payment (e.g., “material Alter Ego A1” or “One Timer A1.1”) in the transfer description. A proof of payment must be sent to contact@institutfr-nigeri.org once the transfer is made.
Unless justification is provided by the applicant and it is attached to a written formulated demand, the student is not likely to get a refund once classes have begun. All applications for refund are to be dealt with by the Studies Bureau.
Should your course be affected, we will contact you directly do discuss your options, which may include:
- Moving onto an equivalent course at a different timing.
- Deferring the session to a later date.
- A full refund of the fees paid into the IFN account.
Registered students should consider their personal commitment to the classes before registration as missed classes cannot be taken at another time.
We offer discounts on recurrent registered classes i.e., if you continuously register for classes, you stand the chance to get a discount on the next class registration.
exams
You can sit for the DELF, DALF and TEF Canada examinations with us.
These examinations are official qualifications, showing your level in French, awarded by the French Ministry of Education and the French Embassy of Nigeria.
TEF Canada is a test of general French Language used in the context of economic immigration programs that require language skills.
The fees include the examination, PrepMyFuture kit, 2 hours of online preparation and 2 hours of physical preparatory class with one of our tutors.
private tuition
Private and customised classes are designed to be effective, stimulating and practical. The content of each class is personalised to the individual and focuses on your specific needs; whether you are a beginner or would like to learn for academic qualification or are just learning for pleasure. The timing is totally flexible to adapt to your schedule, so you let the tutor know when you would like the classes to hold.
These can be taken with on a one-on-one basis or a group tuition basis within or outside the IFN premises.
We have about 35 trained and qualified instructors holding a specific qualification to teach French. We also hold regular seminars too keep our tutors up to date on the latest teaching methods. All our courses are therefore taught by highly trained professionals.
Yes, with a maximum of 12 students in the same group and of the same level.
The prices range from 7,500 NGN per hour to 15,000 NGN hour depending on the number of people, the number of hours and whether the classes are held at the IFN or outside the IFN.
kids & teens classes
The child would have to be between 6 and 17 years old to register.
The sessions last for a period of 12 weeks. The child will attend classes for 2 hours every Saturday either between 9:15AM to 11:15AM or 11:30AM to 1:30PM.
While registrations are done at the IFN, the classes hold at our partner school Marcel Pagnol French School in Prince and Princess Estate, Kaura.
A session costs 14,000 NGN.
A discount of 15% is given to the 2nd child registered in the same family, and 30% is given to the 3rd child in the same family.
