Since 2011, Campus France has been present in Nigeria, acting as the government body responsible for promoting French higher education abroad and welcoming foreign students and researchers to France.
France is consistently ranked among the top countries for higher education, known for its academic excellence and world-class institutions. We guide Nigerian students through administrative procedures, from applying for admission to securing their visa and preparing for their journey to France.
Our main tool is the Etudes En France portal to facilitate applications and student visa processes.

The LMD system in France stands for "Licence, Master, Doctorat," which represents the three main levels of higher education degrees. This system was implemented to standardize and enhance the quality of higher education across Europe, in line with the Bologna Process.
Typically awarded after three years of study, the Licence provides students with a foundational education in their chosen field, along with critical thinking and analytical skills.
Following the Licence, the Master program usually lasts two years. It allows students to specialize further in their area of study, offering both theoretical knowledge and practical experience, often including internships or research projects.
The highest level of academic achievement, the Doctorat generally requires three years of research following the Master’s degree. Candidates must conduct original research and defend their thesis before a panel of experts.
The LMD system facilitates mobility for students within Europe and enhances the recognition of degrees across borders, making it easier for graduates to pursue careers or further studies internationally.

Every year, the Embassy of France in Nigeria launches a new scholarship program to finance Master's degrees at French public universities. For the academic year 2025-2026, Master's degrees related to “management” will be awarded. This program is funded by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the French Ministry for Higher Education and Research, and is implemented by the French Embassy and Campus France Nigeria.
The scholarship covers transportation, a monthly allowance, assistance in finding affordable student housing, and healthcare coverage throughout the training period. However, tuition and registration fees are not covered by the program and must be paid by the scholarship recipients.
More information will soon be published on Campus France Nigeria social medias and website: https://www.nigeria.campusfrance.org/french-embassy-scholarship-france-excellence-20252026
But if you want to prepare your application, you must create an account on Etudes En France platform and start to look for master degrees in Management. Good luck!
