French Institute in Nigeria Institut français du Nigéria provides French classes for children, adults and professionnals. IFN is also a platform for cultural cooperation and exchanges between Nigeria, France and the rest of the African continent. IFN Library At the IFN Library you can borrow books in French and English, for adults and children, and of multiple literary genres: comic books, albums, science fiction, comedy, drama, science, art, thrillers...
The IFN Library is also a laboratory for creativity: hosting exhibitions, virtual reality experiences, movie screenings, or conferences with remarkable writers and intellectuals.
French Classes The IFN teaches French as a foreign language (FLE) to a large variety of students and administers examinations such as DELF/DALF and TEF Canada. Our Cultural Agenda Our cultural agenda promotes French and Nigerian cultures in all creative fields: performing arts, cinema, visual arts, music, design, literature, fashion... We work for French and Nigerian cultural exchanges and cooperation, as well as to encourage debates and shared knowledge between the two countries. Slide

Visual Literacy 2.0

The Institut français du Nigéria is organizing a day of activities for teenagers dedicated to reading images and learn how to interprete, evaluate and use them, in today's information overloaded era.

The activities are designed for teenagers from 12 to 18 years old.

La Fabrique Cinéma 2023's call for entries is online!

La Fabrique Cinéma has been created by the Institut français, in partnership with France Médias Monde, the SACEM (French society of authors, composers and publishers of music) and the International Organisation of La Francophonie to support new talented filmmakers from Southern and emerging countries on the international market.

This programme has been developed in close association with the Festival de Cannes and the Marché du Film. Ten projects in development (1st or 2nd feature film) are selected and invited to Cannes. The aim is to create concrete opportunities for these projects by providing access to different activities and personalized support through one-to-one and group meetings with key players in the film industry.

The registration deadline will be announced once the 110th eligible application will be received and by Thursday, November, 3, 2022.
